Action plan for facilitators

Facilitators play a vital role in translating this handbook into impactful learning experiences. The handbook is not just a script but a flexible framework that facilitators can tailor to their local context. Collaboration with peers, community stakeholders, and tech mentors will further strengthen the learning journey.

  1. Prepare & Personalize

Review each session in advance, test all tools, and adapt materials to your group's digital literacy level, interests, and local challenges. Make room for cultural relevance and inclusivity in examples and case studies.

  2. Facilitate with Flexibility

Use the handbook as a guide, not a rulebook. Encourage participation, creativity, and experimentation. Support peer learning and give space for reflection, especially when working with AI tools for the first time.

  3. Reflect & Iterate

After each session, gather feedback, assess what worked, and adjust future workshops accordingly. Stay connected to ongoing learning by exploring new tools, joining educator networks, and sharing success stories.

Evaluation and impact

Facilitators can assess the effectiveness of their training by combining pre- and post-assessments to track changes in participants' knowledge, skills, and attitudes. These assessments can be simple quizzes, self-evaluation forms, or reflection exercises aligned with session objectives.

  • Pre- and post-assessments — short quizzes, self-evaluation forms, or reflection exercises to track changes in knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
  • Surveys and feedback tools — both digital and paper-based, to gather participant insights on what worked, what needs improvement, and how engaged they felt.
  • Observation — record group dynamics, participation levels, and project outcomes for valuable qualitative data.
  • Ongoing evaluation — helps facilitators adapt methods, ensure inclusivity, and continuously enhance the learning experience.
